Auction and Science Fair

The Narwhals had a short but productive week. They turned in their first research paper, finished painting the auction project chess set and presented some amazing Science Fair projects.

A project on reading comprehension of different age groups from print and electronic sources.
Testing the strength of Lego bridge designs.
What colors reflect the most heat from the sun?
 Mold samples from sponges.
Do males and females perceive images differently?

Pi Week!

To celebrate the Pi Day of the Century, 3.14.15, the Narwhals have done many activities learning about Pi. We made Pi bracelets, a Pi paper chain so the rest of the school could see what Pi looks like, Pi math activities, tried Buffon's Needle and, of course, we made and ate pie!

Crazy Fun Day!

It was First Friday, Pajama Day and a celebration of Dr. Seuss's birthday with a trivia contest and a read in. Oh yeah and Garage Band performed and School Store had home made brownies. Whew, what a crazy fun day!

The Garage Band rocked!!

Read in with our Bumblebee friends. Everyone wants to be in the Narwhal's room.

The hardest part of the school store is doing the accounting at the end.

And then came the trivia contest. It was tight but the Narwhals secured second place losing by one point to the Navigators!
